St. Pete Micro Farm Tour: A Living Example of the “Good Life” on 1/10th of an Acre

What does it look like when a creative life and a truly abundant garden come together on a tiny urban lot?
Come find out on a St. Pete Micro Farm (SPMF) Tour.
Founded in 2018 on just 1/10th of an acre in Saint Petersburg, Florida, the SPMF is now home to over 80 different species of fruiting trees and shrubs — all thriving through smart planning, clever infrastructure, and a whole lot of love for the “good life.”
This isn’t a big commercial farm. It’s a real-world proof-of-concept: how to create serious abundance, beauty, and food security right in your own backyard (or front yard).
What You’ll Experience on the Tour
Join me for a relaxed, informative 2-hour guided walkthrough where we cover:
The dense planting strategies that make 80+ species possible on such a small lot
Infrastructure choices (irrigation, soil building, micro-climate management) that keep everything thriving in Florida’s heat and occasional cold snaps
The full journey of how the farm was built from a standard suburban yard into a tropical food forest
A close-up look at whatever is currently fruiting — and yes, you’re invited to taste anything ripe during the tour
Meet the chickens (our urban flock that helps with pest control and fertilizer)
Practical tips you can actually use on your own property, no matter how small your space is
It’s part garden tour, part masterclass in thoughtful living, and part inspiration for anyone who wants to grow more while doing less.
Why This Tour Matters to Me (and Why It Might Matter to You)
This farm is the physical embodiment of my “Many Hats, One Mission” philosophy.
I’m still a full-time entertainer and performer, but I’m also proof that you can build a stable, creative, abundant life without needing a giant piece of land or a massive budget. The SPMF is where I grow food, test ideas for the upcoming artist residency, build props, and remind myself daily that the “good life” is possible when you combine intention, systems, and a little daily discipline.
Whether you’re a fellow creative looking for more grounding in your life, a gardener wanting to maximize a small yard, or just someone curious about urban permaculture in Florida, the tour shows what’s possible when you stop accepting “there’s not enough space” as an excuse.
