Testimonial: "The Secret to a Year of Consistent Writing!"

Working with Bill has been such a gift to me and my writing process. I remember the very first time we sat down and he read some of my work. It was the first time I had let anyone read my work. Bill empowered me from the get-go. It can be difficult to sustain confidence in your work as a new writer, but with Bill’s feedback and encouragement, I didn’t falter.
We met every week we could for a year. And the only reason we stopped was that I moved states. Since laying the groundwork for consistency with Bill, my writing process has continued to flourish. I am now 80,000 words into the biggest project of my life, with an additional short story ready to be published. All because Bill was there at the right time to help guide me as a mentor, fellow memoir writer, and dear friend. Words cannot capture my gratitude.

Having an accountability partner to bounce ideas off of, to keep momentum moving, and to inspire fresh directions is invaluable. Writing (like many arts) can be a solitary craft, but it doesn’t always have to be. Finding a like-minded individual who shares your drive can help transform scattered ideas into finished work.
I hope this testimonial (and little glimpse behind the curtain of process) will encourage you to seek out someone you can create alongside. Whether you’re writing fiction, memoir, essays, or poetry, the act of showing up with someone else—even just once a week—can be the spark that helps bring your ideas fully to life. ~ Keep Creating!
