A little over a year ago, Tim Shepherd and I (Mr. Bill Berry) did a show together, and it planted a seed.

Since then, Tim has been practicing. We’ve gotten together a handful of times to train, and he’s even filled in for me on a couple smaller gigs when I couldn’t make them.

And now things are starting to move.

In his words:

“I’ve never had this many bookings on the calendar at once. Can we do some training?”

Heck yeah!

So today we met up for a full day of coaching, training, and prop building.

We spent about 90 minutes doing high-impact juggling drills—lots of fundamentals, repetition, and cleaning up the little things that make a big difference when you’re performing.

Then we headed out to the prop shop and started building some custom props for an act he’s developing.

We also did some routine building, refining material and sequences for maximum impact with the audience.

And we’re not done yet. We scheduled another prop-building session for Saturday to ensure he has everything he needs for the upcoming shows.

This is one of my favorite parts of what I do.

Not teaching someone how to juggle.

Helping someone who already has skills take those skills to new heights.

Helping them develop those skills, build something around them, and turn them into something bigger.

Tim’s doing the work.

And the calendar reflects it...
