The Ordinary Days, Quietly Build The Extraordinary Life...

When you’re a professional artist—or any kind of creative—there will be days when you work ALL DAY LONG, and at the end of it, you sit back and realize that all you actually accomplished was:
Freeing up 35GB of space on your hard drive.
Putting wood filler on some props you’re building.
Booking two trips—flights, hotel, rental car—for out-of-state events.
Sorting some laundry.
And connecting a friend with another entertainer for an event you couldn’t take.
It doesn’t always feel like much.
But then you do it again tomorrow.
And the next day.
And the day after that.
And you keep doing it.
For years.
For decades.
And eventually, you wake up one day and realize that all those seemingly insignificant tasks—the emails, the bookings, the repairs, the laundry, the problem-solving, the favors, the little pieces of work nobody ever sees—have quietly added up to something remarkable.
That’s the part nobody tells you about making a living as an artist.
The extraordinary life is built out of a whole lot of very ordinary-seeming days.
