The St. Pete Micro Farm (SPMF) is a modern Garden of Eden located in the city of Saint Petersburg, Florida. Overflowing with life, abundance, and intention, it’s more than just a farm; it’s a sanctuary for people, plants, and animals alike. Over 80 different varieties of fruit trees stretch toward the sky, vegetable gardens thrive in carefully cultivated soil, and friendly chickens roam freely, adding to the harmony of the space. Every inch of it is a testament to thoughtful design and sustainable living, embodying the philosophies we hold dear—community, self-sufficiency, creativity, and connection to nature.
True prosperity—whether in finances, relationships, or personal growth—comes from patience, care, and steady cultivation over time. It’s a reflection of my “Grow Slow” philosophy, proving that lasting success isn’t built overnight but through dedication and resilience. Long-term stability—the kind that allows us to settle in and set down deep roots—is essential. It creates the foundation for sustainable systems, increasing productivity and strengthening our connection to the land. When we invest in permanence, we give ourselves the space to learn, adapt, and refine our craft, ensuring that what we build today continues to thrive for generations.
This is a place where people come together, conversations spark over the rustling of leaves, and the land gives back in endless ways. The St. Pete Micro Farm isn’t just a project—it’s a vision made real, a blueprint for what’s possible when we choose to grow, nurture, and build with purpose.
Backstory: When Mr. Bill Berry and his wife Stephanie purchaed the St Pete Micro Farm in 2018, there was not much farm to speak of. In actuality, it was a run down 1950's home that needed "everything." The first year was spent improving the structure itself, and only then were they able to turn their attention to the yard. "Yard," is perhaps overgenerous, as the front and back areas were just sugar sand with a few scattered weeds. They were surprised to find that not even ants were present, nothing it seems wanted to live there. So the first order of business was to bring in truck lodas of wood mulch, over 140 cubic feet to be exact. Then, over the course of countless long weekends, the plants, irrigation, infrastructure, planning, eventually chickens, and wonderful add on's like the outdoor garden bathtub and the outdoor kitchen areas began to take shape. It became a labor of love as Stephanie and Bill began searching out exotic fruiting trees and shrubs for the property, some taking as much as three years of searching to find a single seed (talking to you Herbert River Cherry). Now, almost 8 years into the project, it's really come into it's own, and people have come from around the world to see the incredible space they've built and grown with just a 10th of an acre to work with. Future Plans: When Bill began his journey as a performer back in 1997, there was little guidance available, he just had to figure it all out the hard way. So now, as his desire to jetset around the world as a full time performer wanes, he wants to build a community where serious up and coming artists, and variety performers can come to learn and train. Bill has already mentored countless performers and artists, but in the near future (late 2026) Bill plans to add a new sudio space onto the St Pete Micro Farm. The idea is to create a residency program where an aspiring author can sign on, then come for a month long writing sabbattical. A variety artist can come for two weeks to develop a new act and create brand new never before seen original props. Or, an artist who's gotten themselves into debt can stay for a 12 month stint as part of a debt resolution plan co-created with Berry. There are many possibilities for the additional space, and it'll be exciting to see how it evolves in the coming months, so check back often to see how it's coming along.
Tours of the St. Pete Micro Farm are available; suggested donation is $25 per person.
