Performance Lab Returns – Third Wednesday, September 16th at St. Pete Micro Farm
It’s the third Wednesday of the month, which means Performance Lab is back at the St. Pete Micro Farm.
This month we’re focusing on vulnerability.
Before anyone gets nervous, let me be clear: this is not about forcing anyone into uncomfortable emotional territory or turning the night into a group therapy session. Vulnerability, when used well, is simply one of the most powerful tools a performer can develop. It creates connection. It makes material land harder. It turns a good set into something people actually remember.
We’ll explore practical ways to bring more honesty and risk into your work — whether that means refining a piece you’ve been holding back on, trying something that feels a little too real, or simply practicing the skill of being more present and less “armored” on stage.
Schedule (6:00 – 9:00 PM)
6:00 – 6:30 PM
Social time, networking, and idea exchange
6:30 – 8:00 PM
Performance time – prepared material, new work, or improv prompts. Bring something you’re working on, or come ready to try something new.
8:00 – 9:00 PM
Group discussion, feedback, and conversation around vulnerability as a performance tool — what works, what doesn’t, and how to use it without losing the room.
As always, this is a lab. It’s not a polished show and it’s not a class. It’s a space for serious performers to test ideas, get honest notes, and leave stronger than they arrived.
