BIG NEWS — I’m in a book! And not just any book…

About a year ago, I got a message from my old friend Dan Meyer — you may know him from America’s Got Talent, Ripley’s Believe It or Not, or his Guinness World Records (60+ and counting!). Dan isn’t just a fellow sword swallower; he’s a pioneer and living legend in the world of extreme performance.

We met nearly 25 years ago when we bonded over a mutual obsession: swallowing swords. That first conversation sparked a connection that’s lasted decades.

So when Dan called and asked if I had any wild stories from my life as a professional sword swallower… I told him, “Of course I do!”

That’s when he told me about a massive project he was working on — a definitive book that would chronicle the greatest sword swallowers of all time, past and present. A historical deep dive. A tribute. A legacy project.

Then he asked me: “Would you be willing to submit one of your stories for the book?”

I didn’t hesitate. HELL YES.

I sent him a story that week — raw, real, and unfiltered. And when the final draft came through, there it was… unchanged. Dan didn’t edit a single word.

Now that book is a reality:

To The Hilt: A Sword Swallower’s History of Sword Swallowing

By Dan Meyer & Marc Hartzman, with guest submission by Bill Berry (mrbillberry)

(Foreword by the one and only Uri Geller)

Marc Hartzman — if you’re not familiar — is a phenomenal writer and sideshow historian. He’s been called “one of America’s leading connoisseurs of the bizarre,” and he brings that passion to this beautifully curated volume.

📚 This book is a must-read for anyone fascinated by the edges of human capability — from yogis to sideshow fanatics, from artists to adventurers. It’s about more than sword swallowing — it’s about the courage to explore your own limits.

I’m beyond honored to be included alongside so many legends in this field.
